Mole fraction is a unit of concentration, defined to be equal to the number of moles of a component divided by the total number of moles of a solution. Because it is a ratio, mole fraction is a unitless expression.

Answer:Mole fraction are unitless.

Explanation:Because mole fraction of a component is no. of moles of that component divided by total no. of moles. Firstly, there are more than one(or also be one) components in a product. So basically for mole fraction we have to know the total no. of mole and no. of mole of component for which we find the mole fraction.

MOLE FRACTION(of X)=no. of moles of X/Total no. of moles

And we divide same quantity for getting the value of mole fraction. That's why mole fraction is unitless.
