Question :-
why the motion of the earth around the sun is circular?
- the motion of the earth around the sun is circular because of the gravitational attraction of the sun is an centripetal(inward) force acting on the earth.this force produces centripetal acceleration of the orbital motion.
- one complete revolutionary of earth takes place 365 days.
Question :-
why the motion of the earth on its own axis is rotatory?
- there is a imaginary line passing straight through the earth and connecting the north and south pole is earth axis of rotation.
- so earth has a magnetic field with north and south pole .the axis of rotation is different from the magnetic poles .this difference creates force for the earth to rotate on its axis.
