Hey Mate
municipal sewage must be segregated as bio degradable and non bio degradable because:
bio degradable wastes- the wastes that can be degraded in the soil.it will be easy if they segregate .
the bio degradable wastes can be dumped in pits or can form a heap which will degrade in soil after few days which is very useful as it increases the soil fertility and rich manure is being added which makes the plants grow healthy.
hope it helps you

Municipal sewage is seperated into degradable and non-degradable wastes as because degradable wastes can be biologiacally degraded or decomposed or dump into pits or yards so that it can help increasing the fertility of the soil and used by the plants.
