Why is Muscular Dystrophy more common in males than females ?

Answer:

Males have only one copy of the dystrophin gene. Those who inherit the mutation get the disease because they have no second dystrophin gene to produce the dystrophin protein. However, females have two copies of the dystrophin gene.

1 Sarcomere = 1.5 to 4 microns long

Since it's a genetic disorder,both the X wanted to get this disorder....

so, it's a very rare case!

In case of males -

It's XY

Only one X... It's too easy ! it's a common case!

1 Sacromere = 1/2 I + A + 1/2I
