I have a DELL Inspiron 3542 with a Core i7 CPU and a 2GB Nvidia geforce 840m graphics card, I am unsure wether this is a problem or whether my graphics card simply does not have these features but i seem to be always missing Nvidia setting i only have access to "3D Settings". Is there a way to fix this?

Hi to everyone.

We have encountered the missing display option error on multiple HP Zbook 17 G3, and the second error was that we couldn’t get full HD resolution (max. was 1680x1050) on second display over VGA on the same laptops.

This are the steps that we used to resolve both of the problems.

1. This step is an optional but definitely a recommendation, get the latest BIOS for your motherboard
