why is n2 a strong bond?

A triple bond isn't quite three times asstrong as a single bond, but it's a verystrong bond. In fact, the triple bond innitrogen is one of the strongestbonds known. This strong bond is what makes nitrogen very stable and resistant to reaction with other chemicals.
