It is because sodium has only 1 electron in its valence shell and Zn has 12 electron and if sodium donates 1 e it easily attains inert gas configuration

moreover Zn have a completely filled 3d subshell

which due to higher exchange energy between the e in 3d subshell are more stable so it is less reactive.
