Law of Inertia it's also called Newton's first law of motion simply stated it means an object in motion tends to stay in motion or an object at rest tends to stay at rest unless the object is acted upon by an unbalanced force. ... The force down on the tennis ball is equaled by the force in my hand pushing up on that ball.
