Nitrogen is the building block element in our atmosphere which is abundantly in our atmosphere. Nitrogen is required by plants for the reasons :
1) Nitrogen is required by plants for the production of proteins and amino acids.
2) It is a component of chlorophyll and essential for photosynthesis.
Some methods how plants acquire nitrogen are:
1) Plants acquire nitrogen by trapping insects.
Eg are venus flytrap and sundew.
Although they are green in colour but they can't take nitrogen directly so they feed on insects.
2) The another method by which they acquire nitrogen is nitrogen cycle where nitrogen is converted into ammonia and nitrates so that it can be taken up by plants.
