When a body is moving horizontally , no work is said to be done .

Reason :

The formula of work is

W = FScosθ

Since the body would me moving horizontally , the gravitational force would be acting perpendicular to the direction of motion .

This means that F is perpendicular to S .

The value of cos90° = 0 and hence , work done = 0
