Why is northern plain is thickly populated

A settlement is considered ideal which has following characteristics. Good agricultural soil or u can say fertile land. The northern Plains off course have a plain topography the river Ganga and yamuna and their tributaries provide water n presence of alluvial soil makes it a fertile land. Thus it is highly populated.

Northern plain namely the Ganga-Brahmaputra plain is a very good place, Suggested by most of the people. Even the climate in summer is good and in winter the 'loo' Blows and makes the climate warm.

Loo- Hot and dry winds blown in the Northern Plains.
