why is northern plain of india more productive agricutturally

it is because the rivers like satluj,ravi,jehlum etc have their basins over there...and the basins consist of alluvium soil which is very fertile

northern plains of india are more productive agriculturally because the area can yield good crops because its soil is fertile . they are the deposits of rivers flowing through them . the soil there is rich in allvium (alluvial soil) .this gog for growing crops and the other reason is that water is available sumptuously and rich in ground water resources
