Norway,the land of the midnight sun, is called so because the northern part of the country is located above the artic circle, where the sun shines 24 hours a day from Mid-May to Mid-July.

Norway is in northern hemisphere.Between 21st March to 21st September,the northern hemisphere remains titled towards the sun..During this period,the sun does not set Near the arctic circle in Northern hemisphere between middle of May till the end of july..The sun continous shining even at 12:00 mid night..so Norway is called 'The Land of the Midnight Sun'....
