Answer:

It is best known as the site of ribosome biogenesis. Nucleoli also participate in the formation of signal recognition particles and play a role in the cell's response to stress. Nucleoli are made of proteins, DNA and RNA and form around specific chromosomal regions called nucleolar organizing regions.

Answer:

The nucleolus is a nuclear compartment and represents the most obvious and clearly differentiated nuclear structure seen in the microscope. Within nucleoli most events of ribosome bio genesis, such as ribosomal RNA synthesis, processing, and ribosome subunit assembly, take place.  It is best known as the site of ribosome bio genesis. Nucleoli also participate in the formation of signal recognition particles and play a role in the cell's response to stress. Nucleoli are made of proteins, DNA and RNA and form around specific chromosomal regions called nuclear organizing regions.
