Nutrition refers to the process of taking nutrients by an organism.
Since we are highly differentiated multocellular organisms and need a lot of energy to perform daily activities there is a need of nutrients that give us energy to perform them. These nutrients are taken in via the process of nutrition. Thus nutrition holds importance.
We like unicellular organisms can not intake food through diffusion thus have well organised pathway for nutrition.......
Hope it helps.....
