Operating system is pivotal in teaching and learning

Explanation:

The operating system (OS) is necessary for us to communicate with the hardware. It is the basic program required in order for us to run any other program on the computer. Once an OS is installed, we can install all other programs we require for teaching or training purpose. The OS provides the mechanism for application and utility programs to be launched and run. A teacher can conduct video conferencing or send text files  or audio/video files with material required to train the student. The student can view and edit the files using programs in his/her computer, only if the computer has an operating system already installed in it.
