Why is osmotic pressure of 1m of kcl is higher than 1 molar of urea solution

Answer:

KCl ionises into K+ and Cl - thus generating two particles, where as Urea does not ionise at all. Since Osmotic Pressure is a colligative property that depends on the number of particles , KCl has higher Osmotic pressure.
