Because there is no atmospheric condition in outer space
no its not right and the real answer is that in space there is no reflecting surface which can reflect light and also galaxy is too big as it also absorb to much of light so it is black in space

the outer space is black because small particles are not present in the space which can scatter the light from the sun.
