Ozone layer is an important layer of the atmosphere which protects the earth from the harmful U.V rays of the sun (Ultraviolet rays). The sun is very hot, and without this layer, the temperature of the earth will increase, making us prone to getting burnt, skin cancer etc.
But nowadays, The Ozone layer is keeping on getting depleted. There are many reasons to this conclusion, one of them being the abundant amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. These gases attract the rays of the sun towards them. And since the quantity of the greenhouse gases is more (in comparison with the ozone layer), the temperature of the earth is increasing.
The emissions of smoke, dust etc. from vehicles, the radioactive gases/ chemicals from industries etc. is also affecting the ozone layer. Due to this, the ozone layer now has a prominent hole in it, which will take years to heal. If we don't stop these immediately, the ozone layer may get completely destroyed and many species of organism will perish, due to overheating.
