Pancreas is called dual function gland. Pancreas is endocrine as well as exocrine gland. It acts as an endocrine gland when it secretes insulin into the blood directly. It acts as an exocrine gland when it releases enzymes like pancreatic amylase, lypase and trypsin into pancreatic duct which then goes to small intestine.
