THe pancreas is considered as a heterocrine gland as it is both endocrine as well as exocrine .It releases both enzymes as well as hormones.
The enzymes like trypsinogen,Chymotrysinogen,lipase.
The hormones are produced by the set of cells called the Islets of Langerhans--the alpha cells releases glucagon,beta cells releases insulin and somatostanin
