Pancreas is considered as a heterocrine gland because it is both
EXOCRINE and ENDOCRINE in nature.
Exocrine part includes the acinar cells which secrete pancreatic juice and
Endocrine part includes the Islets of Langerhans which secrete Glucagon(alpha cells),Insulin(beta cells) and somatostatin(delta cells)
