why is photosynthesis and endothermic reaction

Photosynthesis is the example of endothermic chemical reaction.
In this process plant uses the energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. This reaction required 15MJ of energy (sunlight) of every kilogram of glucose that is produced.
