Physisorption- The process is reversiblei.e. desorption of the gas occurs by increasing the temperature or decreasing the pressure. It takes place by the help of non covalent attraction between adsorbate and adsorbent making the processreversible. Chemisorption - The process isirreversible.

Explanation: physisorption is reversible in nature because when pressure is increased as the volume of gas decreases due to let chateliers's principal and the gas can we remove by decreasing pressure.

Chemisorption is irreversible in nature because the process is very slow at low temperature on account of high energy e off activation.

Physisorption of a gas adsorbed at low temperature main change into oo chemisorption at a high temperature, usually high pressure is also favourable for chemisorption
