Pi bond is more reactive than sigma bond because usually weaker than Sigma bonds. According to quantum mechanics this is because the orbital 5 sal pahle so there is much less overlap between p orbitals.
sigma bond is strongest type of covalent bonds due to the direct overlap of orbitals and electrons in these bonds are sometimes referred to as Sigma electrons.
