Plastic seem most convenient this is because of their light weight , lower price , good strength , durable and easy handling . Being lighter than other materials like metals from which most of the things are made , plastics are used in cars , air crafts etc.

Plastics are non reactive . They dont react with air and water therefore they dont get corroded . They are used to store chemicals .

They are poor conductors of electricity and heat . This is the reason that the electric wires have plastic coating on them for insulation . Handles of screw drivers are also made of plastic .
