The primary purpose of ploughing is to turn over the upper layer of the soil, bringing fresh nutrients to the surface, while burying weeds and the remains of previous crops and allowing them to decay. As the plough is drawn through the soil, it creates long trenches of fertile soil called furrows.

Hope it helps uh..

Hey there i got your answer!!!

Explanation:

Ploughing is an important practice in agricultural fields because of the following advantages:

1. It helps in loosening and turning of soil.

2. It allows the roots to penetrate deep into the soil.

3. It provides aeration to the soil. This helps the cells of the roots to get sufficient amount of oxygen to carry

out respiration.

4. It ensures proper drainage of water. The deeper the soil is dug the better is the drainage.

5. It helps in uniform mixing of fertilizers as well as organic matter with loosened soil.

6. Loose soil supports the growth of earthworms and improves decomposition brought about by microbes.

This enhances the fertility of soil and help in recycling of nutrients.

7. It also helps to uproot weeds.
