A heavenly body should fulfil 3 things to be called it a planet:
1. It should revolve around a star.
2. It should revolve in a definite orbit.
3. It should have enough mass (or instead you can sag gravity) to either make other bodies like asteroid and comets it’s moon or it should pull them towards itself.
Since we know Pluto has 4 moons but there are many other asteroids and comets present around it which are unaffected by Pluto.
Since, Pluto cannot fulfillthe third rule ,it is therefore termed as a dwarf planet by our scientists.
