The starch in the plants has to be removed before we perform any experiment for photosynthesis because without that we cannot be able to prove that the process of photosynthesis only produces the starch. At the end of the experiment, the presence of starch will prove that photosynthesis has occurred in the plant. Remaining of earlier starch may mislead us to take inference of the experiment.
