1.Power is shared among different organs of the government.

➡This system is also called horizontal power distribution or check and balance system .
➡The groups are legislature, executive and judiciary .

2.Power can be shared among governments at different level.
➡This type of government is also called federalism and vertical power distribution .
➡There is no equal power to the group or the level of government.
➡The levels of government include the central, state and local government .

3.Power is shared among different social groups.
➡There is different government for different social groups under this form .
➡This way, minority communities get a free share in power .
➡Eg; Belgium government.
4.Power is also shared among political parties, pressure groups and movements.
➡In democracy, different parties compete to come to power .
➡In case no party gets majority then two or more parties form an Alliance to come to power and form coalition government .
