pressure in the water depends at distancethe more you got the higher pressure you get an example divers wear special suits while diving in the water to avoid their body from getting crushed

Imagine you're laying in bed with a single sheet on you. Now imagine a quilt. Now imagine ten quilts. You will start to feel more and more pressure as more layers are added. 

It's not so much that you're at the bottom of the sea, it's more that there's so much water above you pushing down.
