Swaminathan will deliver the convocation address at the Punjab Agriculture University (PAU) on Wednesday. His address, a copy of which was available with TOI on Tuesday, is a scathing remark on the exploitation of agriculture rich states.Recently, TOI had reported how Punjab had raised its voice against being the food bowl to the nation for over four decades since the Green Revolution. In a letter to the Centre, it had expressed its inability to feed the nation and asked the Centre to look towards states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to augment the food demand.
