Why is pure ethanoic acid called glacial ethanoic acid (or glacial acetic acid) ?

pure acetic acid forms a ice like solid on cooling . anhydrous acetic acid on cooling bellow 16.5 degree C crystallizes out in the pure form forming a crystalline mass resembling ice[m.p around 17degrees C]. hence pure acetic acid is called glacial acetic acid.

This is because pur ethanoic acid is somwhat like ice forms and is foggy ao it looks like glacier( small one as perception)
Therefore it is called Glacial acetic acid
