Why is rainbow formed opposite to the sun??????​

Answer:

Rainbow is formed due to the refraction of light from the tiny water droplets. So when the sunlight falls on the drops, the light get refracted and totally internally reflected to give the spectrum after emerging out of the drop. Hence it is always formed at the opposite side of the sun.

Explanation:

The raindrop acts as a prism or a spectrum. when sunlight passes through the raindrop al the seven colours (VIBGYOR) forms the same way it forms when a light passes through a prism . Thus rainbow is formed opposite to sun to receive the sunlight .
