rainbow is semicircular in shape because of the geographical positions on the earth. On some places there is hill and plane that why it creates semicircle shape.

The rainbow appears to be semi circular in shape but it is a complete ring...
But due to its one half above the horizon and one half below the horizon it appears to be semi circular in shape..
