the rate of breathing differ in terrestrial and aquatic organisms because in atmosphere oxygen is present 21 percent for terrestrial organisms whereas, in water oxygen is present in dissolved form which is about 0.01 percent which is used by aquatic animals which is much more less than the oxygen available in atmosphere.
