Why is red phosphorus denser and less chemically reactive than white phosphorus ?

red phosphorus is a polymer of P4 tetrahedra which has much less angular strain that's why it is less reactive.

Hey !!

Red phosphorus is less reactive than white phosphorous molecule posses angular strain in P₄ molecule where the bond angles are only 60°.
