Respiration involves the oxidation of glucose, to produce energy(38 ATP) from cells.
The energy produced is actuallyheat energy, so, as heat is released,
Respiration is an exothermic process.
C6H12O6+6O2→6CO2+6H2O+energy (38 atp)
Hope it helped

hey there...
here is your answer ...
Respiration is an internal process which goes on inside the body of any living organism. This process goes in the cells, in the Mitochondria this, this organelle is called as powerhouse of the cell. This organelle oxidises the food and releases energy. It releases energy, thus it is a exothermic reaction. As in any exothermic reaction energy is always release out and in endothermic energy is alswahs absorbed.
hope this helps :-)
