Why is respiration considered an exorthermic reaction?Explain

The food taken by the living beings is ultimatly broken down to glucose by the digestive system . The glucose formed is slowly oxidised to carbon dioxide and water with the relese of heat energy . Thus , respiration is an exothermic reaction .

Respiration is a process in which glucose is broken down into CO₂, H₂O Heat and Energy in the form of Adenosine Triphosphate and Nicotinamide Adenine Dineuclotide Phosphate.

Since the heat is produced in this reaction. The reaction is Exothermic
