we all know that we need energy to stay alive. we get this energy from food we eat. during digestion, food is broken down into simpler substances. for example the food contain carbohydrate break down to form glucose. this glucose combines with oxygen in the cells of our body and provides energy. the releasing of energy also releases heat due to which respiration is an exothermic reaction.
hope it helps u in anyway and if it does then plz mark it as brainliest.
