respiration is important for plants to survive because plants make their own food by the process of photosynthesis after getting water ,sunlight ,and carbon dioxide which they get through respiration from atmosphere. Plants take carbon dioxide from human beings when they release co2 in the atmosphere.
Difference between plant and animal respiration is that plants take co2 from humans to make their food and to make the environment pollution free . But humans respire for their survivsl

Respiration is the process of releasing energy from food and excretion is the removal of waste from the body. Plants also undergo the process of respiration and excretion. During respiration there is a gaseous exchange of respiratory gases and in excretion various kinds of plant waste is removed through different methods. So, it is important to know how gaseous exchange of respiratory gases takes place in a plant.
