Why is rings of cartilage present in our trachea?

because if the rings of cartilage is not present in our trachea the walls of trachea collapse at every breath which makes us uncomfortable or we can say that if they were not present we can't able to breathe

Rings of cartilage are present in the trachea to prevent it from collapsing when we exhale and send the air in our lungs out
