why is river godavari also called 'dakshin ganga' . name the two tributaries of river godavari that are large in size?

Godavari River is known as "Dakshin Ganga" since it is the largest Peninsular River like the Large Himalayan River. It is like the ganga river in the south thus it is also called dakshin ganga.

the river Godavari is called as dakshin Ganga because it's the largest river in south India and second largest river in India after Ganga so it is called as dakshin Ganga
tributaries of river Godavari are manjeera, Pranhita,Sabari,wardha.etc etc
