why is road transport favoured in the norther plains of India

Road transport is favoured in the northern plains of India because this is agriculturally rich region and roads’ ate required to transport huge amount of fertilizers, food grains from one region to another. Secondly this is a levelled region where construction of roads is easy

which makes the travelling smoother , easier and more comfortable when compared to other areas
