the shift from paddy cultivation to cash crops is mainly due to surplus income in rubber plantation.  the savings in the form of insurance policies also has improved in the rubber growing areas. there is  boom in the rubber growing areas, the tourism sector has also improved.

Malaysia , Indonesia, Thailand and Africa are the main rubber producing countries.
