Why is rubber not a good conductor of electricity?

because electrons are tightly bounded to the nucleus of Rubber atom that's why no flow of electrons

Rubber is a neutral solid object with no free electron to move around the it.

Since there is no free electron there is no electricity carrier in rubber

Hence it does not conduct electricity and thus a bad conductor of electricity
