The grass eating animalschewing continuously even where they are not eating grass. They store thegrass in a separate part of the stomach. ... Later the cud return in the mouth and animal chews it again. This process is called rumination and theanimals are the called ruminants.

✔️We often observe that cows when eat grass, after eating grass they quickly swallow them. Actually, they store that grass in their stomach called rumen.

✔️In rumen food is partially digested.

✔️This partially digested food is called cud.

✔️The cud later returns to the mouth in the form of small lumps.

✔️Animals then keep chewing on these lumps.

✔️Rumination is necessary to complete partiallly happened digestion.
