in salt there is only one compound present
means
it is pure as elements and compound are pure.
but in salt solution there are two compounds
one of salt and one of water.
so it is not pure.. it is a mixture.

Salt water is a mixture and not a pure substance. We define pure substances as those that contain atoms or molecules of the same type. ... Thus, salt water is amixture, with salt as the solute and water as the solvent. In fact, salt water is a homogeneous mixture and can be termed as a solution.
