sandy soil has very fine particles of sand and has very large interparticle spaces that is the reason why it is not able to retain water in it and without the water crops do not grow efficiently

Hi.

here is your answer.

Generally black soil is suitable for growing of crop becoz it have great water holding capacity, while sandy soil particles are large in size and it doesn't have capacity of water holding.

In sandy soil nutrients avibility also less, so sandy soil is not good for sowing.

hope it helps you. ☺
