Sanskritisation term was first given by Prof. M. N. Srinivas and he was of opinion that Sanskritisation include broad concept of cultural mobility in the society.

With the introduction of term Sanskritisation people can easily explain the concept of social change within caste system.

According to him Brahminisation has limited scope.
